ACS Publications is a Division of the ACS with a core goal of the Society in advancing knowledge in the field of chemistry and the chemical enterprise. The Division publishes 85+ high-quality peer-reviewed journals covering the breadth of chemistry and allied fields, as well as numerous other high-quality products and services of benefit to the global community. In its endeavor for a wider outreach and expansion across the globe, ACSI is rapidly expanding its global editorial presence in key markets. The Corporate Account Consultant plays a critical role in advancing ACS Publications’ Global Corporate Strategy by driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and increasing influence within the corporate sector. This position focuses on supporting corporate sales across a dedicated panel of countries in the EMEA region. The successful candidate will be responsible for both growing existing accounts and acquiring new customers to meet aggressive revenue targets.
This role requires a strategic, consultative sales approach and close collaboration with internal teams including Marketing, Product, and other stakeholders to align outreach efforts and demonstrate the value of ACS’s evolving portfolio of products and services. The Corporate Account Consultant will also foster relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to promote emerging products and business models.
We are currently looking to fill two account consultants. These positions will report to a Regional Sales Manager for ACSI.
Specific Position Accountabilities:
- Drive revenue growth by executing targeted sales programs for ACS Publications’ corporate portfolio.
- Manage and expand a panel of existing corporate accounts while identifying and acquiring new customers.
- Ensure compliance with corporate pricing, product delivery policies, and licensing guidelines.
- Collaborate on the design and execution of regional marketing strategies, sales promotions, and lead generation activities.
- Represent ACS Publications at industry events, tradeshows, and conferences to build brand awareness and generate qualified leads.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders and strategic partners.
- Contribute to the development of strategies for expanding ACS’s global footprint in the corporate market.
- Build consensus and foster collaboration across internal teams to support unified sales approaches.
- Maintain accurate records and insights using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and analytics tools.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5 years of related experience in corporate science sales in the scientific publishing space.
- Experience with site licensing for web-based subscription and data & information services. SaaS background in scientific and technicalareas may be applicable.
- Additional languages would be an advantage.
- Proven experience in corporate sales, preferably within the scientific publishing or data/research sectors.
- Strong understanding of market trends and customer needs in the corporate research and publications space.
- Demonstrated ability to execute strategic priorities with independence and professional maturity.
- Excellent communication skills across written, oral, and digital platforms.
- Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills.
- Creative problem-solver with a proactive mindset and ownership mentality.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and business analytics tools.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% and accommodate occasional off-hours meetings with global teams.
